Obituary for Major Brian Harrison (USAF Ret)
Brian Keith Harrison (Major, USAF Ret.), of San Antonio, Texas was granted his angel wings on February 24, 2018.
Brian was born April 10, 1969 in Martinsville, Virginia to Terry and Janie (Nance) Harrison. In 1988, he joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for twenty-years, during which time he served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer; He received many medals, badges, ribbons, and was a decorated airman. He received his MBA from TUI University. The highlight of Brian’s career was serving as Commander of the 317 MXS Maintenance Squadron at Dyes Air Force Base in Abilene, TX.
Brian was an incredibly intelligent man who enjoyed football. In his spare -time he enjoyed cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing with his baby girl Halle, and traveling with his wife and daughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Harrison.
He was very proud of his daughter, Halle Paisley Harrison, of San Antonio. He was a loving husband and is survived by his wife and best friend, Pamela Harrison of San Antonio. His mother, Janie Harrison, of Martinsville, Virginia; two sisters, Patricia Ozmone, Elizabeth Vaughan of Martinsville, Virginia and brother Windel Harrison of Martinsville, Virginia; as well as his sister- in- law Kayla Hudson of Wichita Falls.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in North’s Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street Abilene, Texas 79601. Funeral Services will be held March 1, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. in the Dyess Air Force Base Chapel with Chaplain Mark Traeger officiating. Interment will follow in the Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery Abilene TX, under the direction of North’s Funeral Home.
