Obituary for Paul Lawrence Stanley

Paul Lawrence Stanley
Paul Lawrence Stanley 58, of Abilene, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. No services are planned at this time.

He was born February 3, 1960 in a military hospital at Ellsworth Air Force Base, near Rapid City, South Dakota. Mr. Stanley was the third child of Lt. Colonel Darrell Stanley, Sr. (Ret.) and Phyllis (Buhr) Stanley.
He spent his childhood and school years in a string of military bases in five states and one overseas location.

After graduating from high school in Virginia, Paul moved with his parents to Austin, Texas in the summer of 1978. He found his calling in the book binding business. He developed new skills and became a valued employee. He became disabled and could no longer work. Paul cared for a string of pet cats and he was a devoted companion to his long-term lady friend, who shared many years with him.

Paul left this world without leaving any enemies. He was a kind and free spirit.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Stanley in 2009,

He is survived by his parents, Lt. Colonel Darrell Stanley, Sr. (Ret) and Phyllis Stanley. One brother, Darell L. Stanley, Jr.
