Sharla K. Blansit McCuistion was born on June 12, 1969 in Sweetwater, was called home April 15, 2019 after a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 49. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at North’s Funeral Home in Abilene. Sharla was a Sweetwater native graduating in 1985. Sharla lived in Abilene for many years. She was a professional pet groomer due to her love of all animals. She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillis Mayhugh, Jimmie Keith, and Archie Blansit; a brother, Mike Powers.

She is survived by her daughter, Shawna McElyea and her husband, Skylar Jordan; stepchildren, Jessica Black and her husband Colt, Jeramy McCuistion and wife Karen; along with several grandchildren; sister, Jamie Macon, brothers Tommy Macon and Troy Schroedter and partner Twila McKee; niece, Holli Keith; nephew, Travis Macon; several other nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sharla has many special friends that she considered family as well.
For anyone that knew Sharla, she touched the lives of many and will forever be loved and missed.
