What an awesome blessing this man has been in my life. During some of the toughest times in my life, he was one of the constants that remained the same. He drove me back to Texas from California in the 70's and encouraged me to face difficult days ahead. When I was placed in a foster home, I thank God it was a few doors down from him in Abilene. When I answered the call to the ministry, He was one of the early ones to encourage me in the challenges I faced as a young minister. God, in His infinite wisdom purposed 32,621 days in these last 89 years to lead this soul from coast to coast, thru many doors of struggle and progress to bless not only Ezell McBride, but the many thousands of lives he was able to touch, and influence. May God walk with Beth, Sam, Ernestine, Donnie, Lonnie, Deloris, Essie and the hundreds if not thousands of relatives, and friends that no doubt will notice and feel the pains this physical separation will leave. Take comfort in knowing that Ezell knew Jesus as his Savior and by faith, crossed Jordan with anticipation of continuing to lead us, even unto and into eternity.
Pastor General B. Smith
