I have many wonderful memories of uncle Dee, he always made me feel special when we would see each other at families get togethers. I always admired his diligence and energy to make it to our reunions and give us his time. Last time I saw uncle Dee was early this year when our brother was hospitalized in Abilene and he came to visit we took a selfie and he said to me donโ€™t be a stranger call me and you can come stay at my place. I thought that was so sweet to offer his home.
The one memory I have that is so special to me was when I was 14 yearโ€™s old he and Marcy took myself and my sister was a few (months old at the time) to stay with them due to my parents had to go to take my other sister to Houston. Uncle Dee took me to go watch a basketball game and I will never forget that. RIP uncle Dee โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

My Uncle Demetrio was my mom Emma's brother. Uncle D was a tough cookie, but also a loving guy. My brother Bobby & I spent a summer with Uncle D & Aunt Mary & cousins Lizzy & Ray kept us company until Uncle D got home from work at the bar & scolded everyone for not cleaning. Then he took us to the movies, or at least that's what my brother Bobby shared with me this week. Uncle D never seemed to like my little boyfriends, but maybe its because he saw something I didn't see. I played lots of sports (softball especially) & felt that was a connection i had with tio. He will be greatly missed! My deepest condolences to my aunts, Uncle, & cousins from the Gonzales family in San Antonio. Our hearts are heavy!

I have been a book keeper for many years for my school. Therefore I had the privilege of knowing him since about 1988. He always lit up the gym when he walked in. All the athletes from both teams always smiled when they realized he was the referee. He always made time to talk to them and of course we always had s conversation going throughout the game. I always took a picture with him when I seen him. The last time was on October 15 2010. Rest in peace Uncle Dee. Now you can ref from the heavens . You will be greatly missed ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™โค

I loved my Uncle D. He would introduce me as his niece with 20 kids. And I loved to dance with him. Iโ€™m glad he was able to hear my Jessie sing. He told me I better take her somewhere with that talent and smiled from ear to ear when she did a grito. I will surely miss you Uncle D . I loved my uncle D. He was my Dad Lolo's younger brother. I remember as a child when we came from California to visit Grandma Prudencia uncle D always made us kids cry (Lol) he sounded so "mean" but he meant no harm. Many of my friends new him as a referee something he loved to do. RIP uncle D. I'm so happy i got to see you within this year โค Corinna Belman Villa
