Mary was born December 6, 1946 in Robert Lee, TX to Isabell Ybarra and Alvin Lara Sr.. Mary received her primary education from Robert Lee public schools. After High School she moved to Abilene and worked many years for Timex, Texas Instruments, and US Brass. Mary Ann worked hard the majority of her life, that in her spare time she loved to relax and be around family and friends. She married the love of her life Gilbert Valles in the mid 1980's.
Mary was preceded in death by parents Alvin Lara Sr, and Isabell Ybarra-Lara, siblings; Henry Lara, Virginia Lara, and Moises Carrasco.
Left to cherish her memories are: husband, Gilbert Valles of Abilene, son, Jerry Lara and wife Kyra Lloyd of Boerne, TX, Brother, Alvin Lara Jr, grandchildren; Christian Lara, Rainey Lara, Anthony Rodriguez, great-grandchildren; Kayson Lara, Liam Lara, Jasper Rodriguez, Benjamin Rodriguez, great-niece Isabell Lara , and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
