Floyd Gerald Pinkston Sr. of Abilene passed away at Windcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, January 18th, 2021. Funeral services and visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26 beginning at 12:00 pm at North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street, Abilene. Burial Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at the Texas State Veterans cemetery, Abilene.
Floyd was born on June 12th, 1938 in Denton Texas to Dora Mae and Floyd Ray Pinkston. He graduated from Denton High School prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force. Floyd served for 28 years, retiring as a Master Sargent.
Floyd married Judy Jo Lucero on May 22nd, 1958 in Littleton, Colorado.
Floyd loved his family and enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his father Floyd Ray, his mother Dora Mae, His two brothers, Jack and Gene Pinkston and his sister Wonda Pinkston (Self).
Left to cherish his memories are: His three children, Terrance Lee Pinkston Sr. (Donna Marie) of Pipe Creek, Texas; Toi Ann Pinkston (Sanders) of Abilene, Texas; and Floyd Gerald Pinkston Jr. (Beth Ann Pinkston) Of Sulphur Springs, Indiana and five grandchildren; Terrance L.
