Carmen Diaz born on July 27, 1939, she married Felipe T Diaz on April 27, 1956. She never worked outside the home but she had a full time job as a mother of 9 kids. Her love for her husband and children was undeniable as evident in her sacrifice to raise them, as any mom knows that it’s not an easy or glamorous job. She had such a generous heart in so many ways, often taking in friends of her children and giving them a place to live for a season, of course dad didn’t always agree with her in this area, but ultimately she got her way. I don’t think she ever met a stranger and when you married into the family, she loved you as one of her own, and you were always included in all the family gatherings. One of her greatest strengths was her ability to remember dates, like birthdays of people, anniversaries. Her greatest love was for dad followed closely by her love for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nothing would make her happier than to see and hug her grandchildren and see her cowboys win.
